  • High prices is a company where different writers help people with their applications, and one of these people is James Innes, who is said to be an expert in the field. On their site, you can get a myriad of different resume services and interview preparation help, which all sounds amazing. On top of that all, you can get the help of Innes himself, which of course, has a steeper price than the rest of the offered services. But, how good all of this is, you will learn in a few minutes.

Quality and Services of TheResumeCenter

Resume writing is just one of the things you get here. In terms of resumes, you can get re-writers and reviews. In addition, The Resume Center offers cover letter writing, online presence and LinkedIn profiles service, business photo editing, application forms and personal statements help, interview coaching, proofreading, and even translation. Compared to all we’ve seen at this point, this is the company with most numerous and versatile resume-related services.

TheResumeCenter - overview

But, that is just one piece of the puzzle and a reason to order there. We haven’t tried the work of their expert because it is more than most people can offer when searching a job, and even when they have one. It takes around $500 to get his help, so we proceeded with one of the bundles that combine resume, cover letter and LinkedIn profile help.

It was a good idea not to go for the highest-priced option because as it turns out, is not at all as great as they claim it is. For a rate that was still too high for most, we got an average bundle quality. We say bundle quality because there was something wrong with all three items we got in it. The resume was poorly formatted, the cover letter contained one too many mistakes in it, and the LinkedIn profile was flawed and appeared a bit incomplete.

Prices at

Saying that is expensive is an understatement. Getting a resume only is not so highly priced, though you can get a standard resume for $85 if you have over 10 years of experience. If you want a standard bundle, it will cost you $129. - packages

The high rates come with the other two options. Their so-called top choice – the senior consultant service bundle is $265, while just a resume by Innes is $470. Having the founder of the site write the resume is good, but no resume should cost such high price.

Discounts/ Other Features

We didn’t expect to find discounts on the standard rates because they weren’t all that high, but we sure expected at least some discounted or special offer for the other two options, at least for a returning customer. There isn’t any discount, but they do have free revision and direct communication with the writer of your resume.

Customer service

Such rates deserve at least a non-stop service, but that’s not a given here. You can use a contact form to reach them – there’s not even a phone number listed there. The company proudly says that they respond within 24 hours, which is not a fast response in this industry at all. In our case, they responded after 18 hours, which resulted in a couple more e-mails and a lot of waiting until we got a free revision. The revision still didn’t repair all the bad things the bundle had.

Delivery on TheResumeCenter

No one really tells you how long it will take for them to write your resume, and while we can tell you that it took them five days for hours, that’s not really a guarantee that you will get it within the same timeframe. It is very strange that they don’t indicate this on the website, but it is probably a way to keep themselves safe from missing deadlines.

Nevertheless, it is extremely frustrating to have to wait for a resume you don’t know when you are going to get.
You have the option to ask for a more urgent resume at a much, much higher price. This option is given once you proceed to buy the service you choose.

Based on all this and our experience, is nothing like they present themselves to be. They are slow and very misleading with the information and statements, and the company is too expensive for the average resume quality they deliver.
